Imaginez les claviers numériques d'un téléphone et d'une calculatrice côte à côte. Pouvez-vous repérer les différences sans sortir votre smartphone? Ne vous inquiétez pas si vous ne vous souvenez pas de l'emplacement des numéros. La plupart d'entre nous sont déjà tellement habitués aux interfaces familières que nous ne remarquons pas la séquence inverse des nombres sur la calculatrice. La rangée supérieure de la calculatrice contient les boutons 7-8-9, tandis que le téléphone utilise le format 1-2-3.
